About the LMIA Employer Data
JobCruise aggregates the official Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) Positive LMIA Employers List published by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) on Open Canada. JobCruise shows the latest official source snapshot available from the public dataset.
A positive LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) confirms that a Canadian employer has demonstrated a need for a temporary foreign worker and that no Canadian worker is available for the position. The data covers five program streams: High Wage, Low Wage, Global Talent Stream, Permanent Resident Only, and Primary Agriculture.
Each entry includes the employer name, province, occupation (with NOC code), program stream, number of approved LMIAs, and number of approved positions. JobCruise processes this data to provide per-employer aggregation, historical trends across quarters, and the ability to search by province, occupation, or program stream.
The Global Talent Stream is particularly valuable for tech workers — it offers a fast-track process with work permits typically processed in two weeks. JobCruise highlights GTS employers automatically so you can prioritize these opportunities.
